Sculpture Garden Architect Christopher Brown designed the 15,000 square foot space to serve as an oasis in an urban context. Thick walls, bright colors and low profile fountains represent a Latin design tradition, while a variety of cacti, succulents, agaves and palms native to the Americas parallel the uniqueness of the molaa’s permanent collection. Twelve monumental Latin American sculptures accent the tranquil, desert landscape of the garden.
Visitors enjoy molaa’s celebrated public programs and cultural events in this new outdoor space. With a seating capacity of 700, performance stage, and state-of-the-art lighting and audio systems, the sculpture garden allows molaa to broaden its programming to serve larger and more diverse audiences. The Garden also serves as a rental facility for wedding receptions, corporate banquets and other private events.
