A Bridge to the Americas is a campaign to secure the future of the Museum of Latin American Art. Built from the “inside out,” molaa established its collection and programs before turning its attention to creating a world-class facility. Today, molaa is expanding and renovating its museum campus in order to more effectively serve its growing local, national and international audiences.
The expansion will more than double the museum's physical capacity to 55,000 square feet, enabling molaa to broaden the range of exhibitions and programs offered to the community. The project includes the architectural renovation of the museum, addition of a 15,000 square-foot Sculpture Garden and creation of several new programming spaces. Upon completion in early 2007, molaa will be the most visible and representative museum of contemporary Latin American fine art in the United States, serving three times more visitors each year.
