The Museum of Latin American Art will once again host Auction 08: Contemporary Latin American Art, the most important auction of contemporary Latin American fine art on the West Coast. The auction will feature more than 240 extraordinary museum quality works art including paintings, sculptures, works on paper and prints by renowned and emerging artists from Mexico, Central and South America and the Spanish speaking Caribbean.
The event will showcase works by some of the greatest artists in Latin America, such as Gunther Gerzso, Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, Roberto Matta and Carlos Merida.

Auction 08 helps support the museum’s ongoing exhibitions and educational programs. It also presents the perfect opportunity for you to purchase works of art by some of your favorite artists displayed at molaa

The third annual Molaa Awards 08 is an invitational juried art competition and exhibition. It has become the museum’s signature event inviting mid-career and emerging artists from 20 Latin American countries to share their art with our audience. This spirited competition seeks museum quality works of art to represent the best of Latin America (click here for more information).
