Docent-led Tour and Workshop Package

Docent-led Tour and Workshop Package

The Tour & Workshop package includes a docent led tour of the galleries plus an artist-led hands-on art workshop. This package is an integral component of the education experience at MOLAA and is appropriate for all ages and levels. Docents and Teaching Artists use age-appropriate lessons which reinforce California’s visual arts content standards.

Both the workshop and the tour review elements that give visitors the opportunity to create connections, relationships and applications between the objects presented to them and their own experiences. The tour situates the visitor in direct contact with various art objects and engages them in multiple sensory experiences that are only accessible when a visitor comes face to face with a work of art.

General Information

Tours and workshops are available Wednesday – Saturday. A tour and workshop experience lasts approximately 2 hours. MOLAA offers tours that begin at 10:00am and the last tour begins at 3:00pm. To provide the best tour experience possible, our maximum capacity for any group is 60 people.

Temporary exhibition spaces are closed to the public three times a year for installation of exhibitions. Before you book your tour, please visit this link for a listing of current and upcoming exhibitions.
