Keiko González

Keiko González, born to a Bolivian family in Houston, Texas, studied art at the Stephen F. Austin University in Texas and earned a MFA at the Mason School of the Arts, Rutgers University in New Jersey. During his youth, González represented Bolivia in three different biennials (Cuenca, Venice, and Havana) where the art critic Luis A. Gomez said: “Keiko is without a doubt one of the most accomplished artists in Bolivia. His capacity to attract the viewer with his enormous paintings is based on revealing his feelings and presenting them in strong contrasts, like one who cuts a seed in two.” González works in an abstract style and creates large expressive paintings with organic images that sometimes suggest the process of gestation or germination. González currently lives and works in La Paz, Bolivia.
